Those wedding cake all look amazing!! I really wish I could decorate like you. It must have been so much fun making all that frosting!
ReplyDeleteSome gorgeous cakes there!!!
ReplyDeleteI also love Redbuds, but hubby hates them for the way they send new tree shoots up from their roots, which he considers bad form in his yard.
Hello Ms.Butteryum...
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come by to say thank you for participating in "Sunday Favorites" and I sure do appreciate that sweet "shout out" for this new Sunday meme!!!
My friend, all of your wedding cakes are fabulous!!! What a talented baker and decorator you are!!! With each photo, I would think...Ohhh yes, this one is my favorite...until the next photo and then that pretty cake became my new favorite!!! Hehe!!!
The Vanilla Almond Pound Cake just may be my pick though! I love the fresh flowers and the rose hips with it's pretty little buds hanging down around the cake...absolutely gorgeous!!! The almond flavor of that cake sounds so yummy too! However, all of your cakes with the raspberry puree filling sounds heavenly to me! I'm a huge fan of anything raspberry!!!
I love the pretty piping on the cake with the pretty purple daisies!!! They're all beautiful, my friend!!! How long have you been doing this and do you have your own shop? Thanks for sharing this awesome post with all of us...I really enjoyed it! Hmmm...now I have to go find a sweet something to munch on though!!! Hehe!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
I think it's so interesting how the recipe made by two people can come out so different! I found that these were the moistest cupcakes I've ever made. They were even moist the next day.. and that never happens..haha. How much does 1 c of all purpose flour weigh for you?
ReplyDeleteHi Chari - thank you so much for the incredibly nice comments - you are very gracious! I don't bake for a living, just for a hobby, so no shop for me. Believe it or not, I usually just make cakes for family, friends, and church functions.
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! I wouldn't want to cut a piece because they are so pretty. I am glad you reposted this since it is the first time I have seen it...Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Steph - I will definitely make this recipe again because the flavor was really good, but I'll adjust the time/temp slightly to see if I get less dry results.
ReplyDeleteHi Keetha - I didn't know that about redbuds... that must be why they're so prolific here. :)
Wow...amazing cakes! That takes talent! Susan
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite cake in the world is Wedding cake with buttercream frosting..oh, please, just hand me a knife and a fork. I'll be fine!!

ReplyDeleteHi Shari, Linda, and Mary Ellen. Happy Sunday morning to you all. Thanks for your kindness. I'm glad you stopped by for a visit!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your blog. So it is true I will find new people to visit because of the new Sunday Favorites Meme. I so enjoyed all of your beautiful cakes. And that pumpkin cheesecake, that looks to die for. I bet that is so YUMMY!! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here in total and complete sugar shock -- and cake lust! -- after reading this post. What AMAZING cakes!
ReplyDeleteI know that you claim, on your sidebar, that if you can make cakes like this, so can I ... but honey, you have never seen what I can do to an innocent birthday cake. It isn't pretty.
I am truly awed by your skill. Gorgeous cakes! Cass
Oh my goodness! I can't believe that chocolate cake! The others sound just as delicious but I would so get lost in that chocolate one! Thanks for sharing this one!
ReplyDeleteYour cakes are as really works of art. Did you see the cakes on my sidebar? You pastry chefs amaze me. Now I want cake. Trouble makers.
ReplyDeleteThanks Neabear, Cass, and Chandy - you guys are so nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lori, but I'm not a pastry chef... just a mom who likes to bake.
All those cakes look delicious!! I'm so intrigued by red velvet cake. I've never eaten red velvet cake, but I just love the colour of it :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, those aren't my kids in the picture on my Met Monday post -- thankfully!! If they were, I probably would have disowned them ;-)
Kelly @ DesignTies

ReplyDeleteI can only hope that our daughter's wedding cake is as beautiful for our June wedding! The rose hips were "meant to be"!!
ReplyDeleteHi Butteryum! Thanks for checking out my blog! Yes, the blue/gray coverlet has a hidden long body pillow tucked inside to plump it up...just a little money saving tip for stagers!
ReplyDeleteYour cakes are beautiful! You are very talented!
My first visit to your blog. Absolutely love the cakes. There isn't one that's not gorgeous. I do have a question. We're doing a June wedding and wanted to add fresh flowers. I was concerned about any potential for pesticides on the flowers. Should I be worried?
ReplyDeleteHi Giz, thanks so much. As to your question, that's something you have to decide. You can order organic flowers from most florists, so if you're that concerned about it, I would suggest doing that. Other options would be to use silk flowers, or not allow non-organic flowers to be allowed to touch the cake. Thankfully anything goes these days when it comes to decorating wedding cakes.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful! Where were you when I was shopping for wedding cakes? Mine turned out to be soooo ugly and embarrassing! :( These are gorgeous and sound so deeeelicious too!
ReplyDeleteAw gee, shucks. Thanks so much :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I started in with looking at these gorgeous cakes so early in the morning! Now my sweet tooth is yelling "abuse, abuse"! They are absolutely gorgeous. When I made my first Rose B buttercream frosting, I felt like a pro. Before that I thought buttercream was powdered sugar, a little milk and margarine, (hangs head in shame). I also love the New York cheesecake because of its simplicty. Your photos are so well done and inviting.
ReplyDeleteHi, how many tiers would be for a wedding cake to serve 75 people? If you could not mind telling me.
ReplyDeletethanks
Thank you Ethel - I completely understand and share in your first RLB Buttercream memories :).
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila - I like Dede Wilson's serving chart. She suggests a 6-9-12" round tier combination to serve 60-80 guests. Or a 6-10-14" round tier combination to serve 78-110 guests.
I hope that helps!
Hello Patrincia, I hope you get this message! Your cakes are beautiful, you are a star! Jeannette.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeannette, Whoo-hoo, I'm so glad to hear from you! Thanks so much :)
ReplyDeleteWow......what lovely cakes......my fav is the one with the rose hips....ever so lovely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Spencer
Thanks for peaking at my blog today and I am glad you enjoyed the Aunt Mary cake story. Happy Mother's day.
ReplyDeleteOh, everything looks so beautiful and delicious! That chocolate wedding cake with the red roses should come to my house for our 30th anniversary next year! You've given me a great idea!
ReplyDeleteRobin
Thanks so much... Robin, early congrats on your 30th. Hubby and I just celebrated our 21st.
ReplyDeletethose beautiful cakes! what a pleasure comming here! That chocolate buttercream... OMG!!!!! I LOVE cheesecake, and with Maine blueberries, reminds me of home!
ReplyDeleteYou do the most beautiful work with cake...wow. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us.
ReplyDeleteYour cakes are absolutely beautiful! I hope to achieve your talent one day!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic cakes.
ReplyDeleteWow. I mean, WOW. And you make something that gorgeous and then let people eat it?! Holy cow.
ReplyDeleteMy brand of cake decorating runs to covering the entire thing with coconut, to disguise the messy frosting, lol. I am ALL envy.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this blog.. Really like the decoration of the cake..Amazing decoration .....
Hi Patricia this is Rosa and I was wondering if you can please share the recipe for the Deep Chocolate Cake with Amaretto Italian Buttercream..hugs Rosa.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosa - Doing so would take me a month! ;) You can find that particular cake recipe in the wedding cake section of Rose's Heavenly Cakes. For the Italian Meringue Buttercream, I can't remember which recipe I used (I like several), but I added Amaretto to taste. The combination of cake and buttercream was truly divine.
