Thanks Dixie and Aimee - the lion's head containers in the second photo are from Pottery Barn - itty bitty little things. The 3rd photo is a pair of salt and pepper Unicorn Magnum mills (rated #1 by Cook's Illustrated). The pepper one is great and grinds tons of pepper fast, but the salt grinder I can live without... doesn't grind very much.
LOL... I didn't even pick up on that typo at first :).
No, I don't collect them, but certainly I seem to have a collection - all the sets in the first photo were given to me (except for the tiny individual shakers in the front - I have a set of 12 that I purchased so each person at the table could have their own when we have company).
The little bowls in the second picture are just darling. Would never last on my table but would be so perfect for entertaining or a formal dinner which I never do either...ok they're just cute.
Pretty shakers :) Thanks for stopping by my tablescape... the napkin rings are Spirit of the Flag by Warren Kimble made by Brandon House. I searched on the internet and couldn't find them...I purchased them so long ago that I don't even know if they are being sold anymore. :/ Have a Blessed Day! Melissa
Let's see, what can I tell you about myself. I'm of British and Italian decent, I'm a part-time administrative assistant, the mother of 4, and I've been married to my wonderful husband for more than 20 years.
I had always dreamed of going to culinary school, but reality hit when we married and started a family. Although culinary school was taken out of the equation, I didn't let that stop me from learning, so I took matters into my own hands and taught myself to cook and bake.
When it comes to cooking, I love hearty, family-style comfort food. I do gourmet every now and then, but most of the time I have to feed a pack of hungry teenagers, so good old fashioned home cooking is what makes it onto the dinner table.
When it comes to baking, I shy away from boxed mixes and pre-packaged convenience foods. I'm a scratch baker and proud of it. Nothing beats the flavor of baked goods made with quality ingredients! I started with ZERO skill, and now I can say I've had the privilege of making quite a few wedding cakes. If I can learn to do it, so can you!
I can't wait to share my photos, recipes, reviews, favorite kitchen equipment, and helpful hints with you.
