Now for a couple of photos that don't make me feel so stupid.
Both taken on the same evening.
This one just taken at sunset after a long day of heavy rain.
This one was taken earlier that evening. If you look carefully, you can see it's a double rainbow. We were leaving a meeting at the kid's school and found this amazing sight just outside the door. I was immediately taken by the immense beauty and I couldn't believe how perfect the shot was. Right over a church... could you ask for a better set-up??!!
It was raining and I didn't want to ruin my camera, yet I really didn't want to pass up the opportunity to snap a few photos... thankfully there was a narrow eave to take cover under.

No your not the only one!! This blogging thing we do is a learning process!! LOL!! Beautiful pictures!!
ReplyDeleteFirst, the pics are amazing!!! I have never caught a rainbow like that and believe me I have tried...
ReplyDeleteSecond, email alert? what? now maybe you should give lessons because I did not know! My email address is lrick4444@yahoo.com just in case I AM the only dummy still left in blogland.
Love the rainbow picture! Rest assured you are not the only one that has done that. Haha. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThat shot was amazing - all the colors in it - so perfect!
ReplyDeleteNot dumb at all...if my friend Martha who turned me onto photo blogging hadn't helped me I would probably have done the same thing, LOL. BTW, your photos are beautiful....the first one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNot so dumb......It is amazing the new things I have learned. I am still trying to figure out how to Mosaic, haven't mastered that yet? I love your pictures.....you are really good:)

ReplyDeleteRegarding the pictures they are awesome!!!
I've had email alerts since I first began blogging, but that may be because I'm the slow moving type who reads EVERYTHING. In any case, I'm glad you've found it.
ReplyDeleteYou're before shot is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your blue. Happy Blue Monday.
Making new discoveries every day about little tricks available in the blogging world. That rainbow is beautiful. God is so faithful to gift us with treasures like this all through life's journey!
ReplyDeleteI did know that, but I just found out I can have comments AFTER MINE emailed to me as well. So, for blog posts where there is healthy discussion, I can keep abreast of everything.

ReplyDeleteha ha!!! I did the same thing at the beginning!!! then I did it so that I ended up getting two notifications of the same comment!!! it is a learning thing!! glad I am not alone in this...lol
ReplyDeleteyour photos are gorgeous!
Very easy to make a mosaic and you can do it on several sites for free too and we use picassa. I actually purchased photoshop for a whole lot of money to do a mosaic and have yet to open the package since January. Just another toy hubby had to have that we have not had time to getting around to reading the instructions:) I wait for my kids to install all these things and then just show me how to use them. I was thinking of taking a class but the price was so much for one full day and honestly after 2 hours of any instructions my brain goes blank:)
ReplyDeleteJoyce
But here is what I want to know - is there a way to keep a tally on how many people visit your site, even if they don't comment? Just 'cause I wonder if anyone ever reads mine..... and THANK YOU for saying you saw a bear!! Because one day my daughter and I were sure we saw one while we were out driving, and my husband has teased us mercilessly for "seeing things, probably a big rock." So, HAH!! There are bears running around here!! Wait 'til I tell him ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you will teach me to take pictures as gorgeous as these, I will do your counting for you:) I hope you will join me at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com for Crock Pot Wednesday. Mr. Linky will be up on Tuesday for your link. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by my place for a visit.
ReplyDeleteLove your pics. Such beautiful colors only God could have made. =0)
The email feature is great. Your going to love it!!

I blogged for months before I figured out the email notification. At first I used my general email. I have since created a gmail account which I use exclusively for my blog comments. I just find it easier to separate those from my general email.
ReplyDeletewow - thanks for the email alert discovery!!!! As always, your photography is just awesome. It is such a privilege to be able to enjoy it in our context. Best, joan
