Road Trip

Hubby and I recently went on a road trip through Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The weather was perfect for a drive in the country. The sky was dotted with the fluffiest clouds.... so pretty.

Check out this adorable little church I spied among the rolling hills and farm land.. I think we were in Maryland. Isn't it one of the cutest things you've ever seen? About a mile after we passed it, I begged DH to turn around and go back so we could pull over and get a few photos. He's such a good guy!

I have no idea what town we were driving through when we spotted this massive house, but I fell in love the minute I saw it.

You know how I love barns, but have you ever seen one this huge? I wonder what they use it for (can you tell I'm a city girl?). Seems to me the ground would look a bit more "muddy" if it was used for livestock.

We ate dinner here one night. Delicious, but pricey - steaks run $30-50 a piece, and the sides are extra. It was a nice splurge though.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of this light fixture hanging in a restaurant. Not bad for a photo taken from inside our vehicle (through the car window AND the restaurant window!).

I thought this sign was pretty cool?

This statue is located in Baltimore. I don't know what it is, but I like it.

Still hoping to get a good moon shot someday....

I hope you enjoyed visiting. Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Are you sure that's a barn??!!--holy moly! What a wonderful trip. I have always wanted to see this part of the country in the fall! Ruth's Chris is very good and VERY a la carte! My son took a date there and was afraid to ask for water:)!

  8. I just moved to Northern VA, and I hope I see some of those sights! Especially the barn - being a horse-crazy kind of gal, that one really called my name! I like your shots - you seem to have the same sort of "that'd-make-a-cool-wierd-shot" mentality that I have... ;)

  10. I can't find your email - so I am replying to the note you left on my blog, here. Acrylics or watercolors would be beautiful (for that church) - and I would go with a smaller picture - since the church is the centerpiece - like even as small as 8x10 or 9x12. The same thought crossed my mind when I saw that photo. Have a great day!
