Let's see, what can I tell you about myself. I'm of British and Italian decent, I'm a part-time administrative assistant, the mother of 4, and I've been married to my wonderful husband for more than 20 years.
I had always dreamed of going to culinary school, but reality hit when we married and started a family. Although culinary school was taken out of the equation, I didn't let that stop me from learning, so I took matters into my own hands and taught myself to cook and bake.
When it comes to cooking, I love hearty, family-style comfort food. I do gourmet every now and then, but most of the time I have to feed a pack of hungry teenagers, so good old fashioned home cooking is what makes it onto the dinner table.
When it comes to baking, I shy away from boxed mixes and pre-packaged convenience foods. I'm a scratch baker and proud of it. Nothing beats the flavor of baked goods made with quality ingredients! I started with ZERO skill, and now I can say I've had the privilege of making quite a few wedding cakes. If I can learn to do it, so can you!
I can't wait to share my photos, recipes, reviews, favorite kitchen equipment, and helpful hints with you.
I did enter this, didn't I?? I miss you!!

ReplyDeleteFor those of us who don't win, we still have a prize -- the bouchon recipe! I'm assuming we could use a muffin pan?
