Hubby and I just got back from an 8-day trip to the UK. He went to work, and I went to play. I had a great time, but after we got home I struggled with jetlag for a few days before coming down with a horrible cold which I'm sure I picked up on the plane. At any rate, I've been too out of it to do any posts of my own, so I'm giving you guys a link to a giveaway at my good friend Yvonne's StoneGable. Yvonne's blog is one of my favorite. She's so creative - just look at the festive wreath she's giving away... she made it with her own hands! She's giving away some chocoalte goodies too. I hope you'll hop over there and pay her a visit.

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well after your trip. Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteNow I know the reason for your PM to me! Oh, I would have loved to have met up with you, Patricia, if that was your intent. Perhaps another time. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the UK and the weather was kind to you. Jeannette.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet - you're very kind.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeannette - sorry I didn't have a chance to reply to your PM. I meant to, but time got away from me. I wasn't going to be driving while visiting the UK, and hubby was busy working at all hours of the day/night so I didn't want to ask him to take me anywhere. If you had been located closer to where we were staying, I might have been able to take a bus or taxi.
Anyway, it was a wonderful trip which seemed to pass by much too quickly. I took lots of photos to remind ourselves of the beautiful scenery. Green and lush. And the weather was absolutely perfect the entire time we were there 20-26C (or 70-78F for those of us in the US). It only rained once, overnight. Truly, we couldn't have asked for better weather.
:)

I trust you had the most fabulous time in the UK. I grew up in Scotland and England. My dad was in the service there. LOVED our stay!!!! I even went to a boarding school in Edinboro.
Thank you for the LOVELY post today. You are not only a superb cook, a world traveler, but also a dear friend!
Get better... praying for you.
